Three strangers who live in the same New York apartment building and are obsessed with true crime suddenly find themselves involved in murder. In fact, he is a very experienced and talented musician. In the first episode, the viewer learned that CHS lived above Oliver, who lived above Mabel, with that elevator scene. BUT the opener has CHS in an apartment on the 7th floor, Oliver on the 8th, Mabel on the 9th – in reverse order and well below CHS' The real proper high in the series.. Presented by AniMat in The Mad Actor: The Rat of All My Dreams (2020). Season 1 (9/10) When this show came out, my girlfriend wasn’t particularly interested. I’m a huge fan of comedy mysteries and loved Steve Martin in my youth, but his enthusiasm is anything but mild.
The actors are amazing
But after five minutes I had to stop and make her watch it because we’re New Yorkers and this show is perfect. New York in five minutes. Strange relationships with passers-by, artistic types, justified paranoia – all this was immediately funny. The series is about a trio of murder podcast fanatics who bond over a real-life murder in their luxury apartment building. Soon they are researching and podcasting. But they also keep secrets from each other in a wonderful structure of secrets. Everyone has secrets, the show says, and delving into them is a fascinating exercise.
The show is amazing
Martin is understatedly funny, Short, who I’m usually lukewarm to, is very funny as the charming theater director, and Selena Gomez more than holds her own as a fun temporary tenant. This show was a very popular ticket. as far as I know – certainly my friends (and fellow New Yorkers) love it – so I was shocked to see how many user reviews simply hate the show or think it’s just average and claim that all the favorable reviews are paid for. . This answer is beyond me. When a new episode came out, we immediately watched it. It’s just so, so, so, so good.
Season 3 (6/10): What the Hell Happened?
Ignore the naysayers, this is a must watch. Other Seasons: Season 2 (8/10): A bit weaker than the first season, but still great. In season 3, Steve Martin played his character as a complete idiot, and after 2 great seasons, Selena Gomez has become duller – more sullen and less witty. And when the mystery was solved, oh my God, it was the most nonsensical motive you could think of. Of course, there were still good moments, good guest stars, surprisingly pleasant songs. But OMG. Season 4 (9 stars) To my relief, Season 4 was a return to form, with Martin no longer an idiot and Gomez’s charming snark fully restored.
Probably the second best season after the first
There are some hilarious celebrity guest stars – Eva Longoria playing herself as truly awful is especially funny. man – the mystery is solid and keeps you guessing, the plot twists are delightful, and it’s all incredibly funny.
