An agnostic sex podcaster and a newly ordained rabbi fall in love; discover whether their relationship can survive completely different lives and family intrusions. Originally titled “Shiksa,” which is also the last word spoken in the first episode. I was so excited about this episode! Some of the dialogue and storylines, especially in the first episode, didn’t hit the nail on the head. After a few minutes I thought, is this going to be crap? Well, I stuck with it and REALLY enjoyed it. The love story was passionate and they definitely had chemistry. And that first kiss. WOOFT. I think I got pregnant too. Also, lots of laugh out loud funny moments. 100% my sense of humor. Is it an Oscar winner? Probably not. Will people be offended? Absolutely. But it’s a feel-good story that was a light binge with likeable characters. Can’t wait for Season 2.
