Follow the stories of a group of Londoners during the events of the Blitzkrieg of the British capital in World War II. Saoirse Ronan and Harris Dickinson starred together in See How They Run (2022). Saoirse Ronan is obviously very good in her role. However, she is not given much to do. The film doesn’t really use the potential of the premise to its fullest. I found the focus on the child character a bit annoying. The film is also pretty badly paced and I was checking the tempo the entire time. It is well directed and has good cinematography. The visual effects are also pretty solid. The sound design gave me whiplash with how often it went from very loud to very quiet. It’s not a bad film, but it’s so basic and predictable that it makes it disappointing.
